Don Johnson, M.Ed., is the Superintendent of the
Cascade Christian School District and the Executive Director of The Biblical
Worldview Institute, a division of Cascade Christian Schools that is dedicated to training teachers.
Don began his teaching career in 1976
with the Puyallup School District. From
1978 to 1985, he was Principal of Peoples Christian School. He then took a position as Student Teacher
Supervisor for Pacific Lutheran University.
In 1986, he became Principal of Puyallup Valley Christian School, acting in that capacity until 1992, when he spearheaded the consolidation of several schools
into an interdenominational Christian school system.
Today that school system, Cascade Christian Schools, serves nearly
2,000 students in Puyallup, Tacoma, and Frederickson, Washington and Don has been Superintendent of Cascade Christian
Schools since its inception in 1992.
Don holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education
degree from Washington State University, a Master of Education degree from
Seattle Pacific University, and administrative credentials from Pacific
Lutheran University.
He has been the chairperson of Washington Federation of Independet Schools and the chairperson of the Private School Advisory Committee to Washington State's Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.
He is a
conference speaker and trainer for the Association of Christian Schools
International and The Biblical Worldview Institute. Don has co-authored a teacher-training book
for the Institute titled "Making the Connections," and is one of the trainers
for "Making the Connections" workshops.
Don has been married to Sue Johnson since
1974. They have two adult children, son
Josh and daughter Cameron. |
